Foursquare Reviews:

After 100 years, it was time for a restaurant. -Jen

Be sure to check out the wallpaper in *both* bathrooms, and enjoy the Jason Polan drawings hanging in the hallway as you wait. -Jen

“The Café is a master class in how to court both the old and the new, imbued with a hard-earned air of authority and gorgeously designed to pay detailed homage to Russ & Daughters’ history.” -The New Yorker

The seltzer is free! -Jen

Check out their brunch. Get a classic spread of smoked fish, cream cheese, and a bagel, or go for one of the egg dishes, like matzoh brei, or scrambled eggs with lox and onion. -Eater

Portions are a bit small so make sure you order enough food. Everything is really good but you might end up spending a bit more than you'd think. -harryh

The new old New York. -Jen

a bit pricier than the shop, but great options (including egg dishes) and a _beautiful_ design. -Jon

Ess gezunterheyt! Can't go wrong with anything but if it is your first time, go with The Classic board. R&D dominates the lox game. -ben

The Halvah Ice Cream for dessert is a must. Sweet, a little nutty, and a total delight. -Courtney

This is Jewish brunch heaven. Just get there early if you don't want a long wait. Super Hebster -- whitefish salad, salmon, wasabi infused roe on bagel toast -- and the Lower Sunny Side (pictured). -Noah

I like it here. Nothing like a lox and bagel in NYC. Gets super busy even for a solo diner, so go during off peak times or be ready to wait. -RTWgirl

Get the Halva ice cream. Not too sweet, and the perfect way to balance your palate after having fish. -Simon

Gotta get the classic smoked salmon with cream cheese bagel. -Kate

Bartender Dimitri and hostess Zoe are wonderful and great at their job. Get to hot/cold smoked salmon and the super heeb -Wesley

Breakfast Martini, Pastrami Russ, French toast. Perfect. -David

Coffee soda is sweet, fizzy, and delicious. Add milk for an egg cream like experience. Like Vietnamese coffee but bubbly! -alicetiara

I've honestly never been huge on lox until I came here. Get the eggs benny with a bagel on the side. Don't skip the egg cream and Bloody Mary, either. Also, the coffee is incredible. What a place! -Yera

The Eggs Benny is served on Challah instead of the usual English muffin. My skepticism disappeared after the first bite - it's amazing. -Nate

Expensive for the portion sizes. -Elie
