By far, the best breakfast you will have in Phoenix. -Dale

Matt's is a Phoenix classic. Get breakfast or lunch (after 11am) from 6:30am to 2:30pm. They source the best ingredients possible. There may be a line when you get there, but it's worth the wait. -Cheapism

The best breakfast joint on the planet. I live right up the road but it's worth a 100 mile drive. -Stephen G.

Absolutely DON'T go to Denny's! There's no substitute for fresh squeezed OJ, real maple syrup, and real cream butter. -Will

Rosemary-flecked home fries are one delicious reason breakfast gets all the glory, but lunch's Big Butter Burger, classic Reuben and Midwest-style chili are just as praiseworthy. -Phoenix New Times

Get the waffle. It's amazingly delicious. -Andrew

Plan on waiting if you go anytime past 8AM,but you will NOT be disappointed. Hog & Chick is my favorite on the menu and I always add a side of pancakes :) -Irma

Best of Phoenix Winner 2011: Best Hangover Breakfast. The morning after can be rough, so roll in to order the hot and chick, a big stack of pancakes or the dame fine butter burger. -Phoenix New Times

Since being featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, you can expect a long wait to eat at Matt's - but it's totally worth it. Breakfast is served all day. -Visit Phoenix

The honey lemonade is amazing -Daniel

Although the building is small and does not seat many people at one time, this place is well worth the wait!!! You haven't lived until you have experienced a food coma from Matt's... definitely 5 star -Janelle

Get the hash browns. They are the best I have ever had ever, ever. -Jimmy

The Clarendon Hotel loves Matts... Keepin it local... Fun tip.. When there's a long list, cheer when people aren't there for their table and boo when they are... -Ben

If the wait is long, you can put your name in and go wait at their coffee shop (Giant Coffee). They'll call Giant when your table is ready! It's excellent coffee too. -Andre

Fun tip: phone in your order. It takes 10 minutes. Then eat it with the people waiting for an hour to get in. -Daniel

Try the Reuben! Lightly grilled rye bread, layered with melt-in-your-mouth corned beef, sauerkraut, melted Swiss, homemade Thousand Island dressing - it's one of Michele Laudig's 100 Favorite Dishes! -Phoenix New Times
